Swimming Lessons

Last night was Seneca's first night of swimming lessons. I enrolled her in "Waterbabies" which she attended when she was one but decided to sign her up again just to make sure she will be ready for beginning swimming lessons when she turns three. "Waterbabies" is a class that a parent has to be in the water with the child and it is mostly playtime with watertoys and the instructor comes around to each child and gives you different ideas on how to get your child used to the water. At the end, they sing songs that have actions so it is fun for the kids. Well, you don't have to get Seneca used to the water....I think she is ready for beginning lessons. She doesn't want Mom to hold her but of course can't be on her own since the water is 4 ft deep. She did OK for her first night but didn't want to leave after the 1/2 hour was over. We'll stick to it and see what happens next week.
