Birthday Weekend
Friday was my birthday. I only work from 7 am - 10 am on Fridays in the summer so it was nice to have the majority of my day free. I picked Seneca up from daycare for her 2nd dentist appointment. Once again.....no cavities. Paul ended up coming home from work ill and then went to the clinic. Come to find out, he has tonsillitis. So the rest of my birthday consisted of running after Seneca and taking care of Paul. For my birthday Paul and Seneca got me a pedicure and the sandals that I have been wanting. Since Paul was sick and we were suppose to go out for dinner for my birthday, my friend Kerri took me out for dinner instead but for the most part, it was a good day!
Saturday we didn't do too much. Before it got too terribly hot, we let Seneca sidewalk chalk on the driveway. She really enjoys drawing. She actually can draw a pretty good cat for her age. She surprised me! Since the temperatures were so hot again for the 2nd day in a row, we spent most of the day indoors. After nap time, we did turn on the sprinkler system to accomplish two things......water the lawn and let Seneca have fun running through the sprinklers. It took her awhile to get going through them but once she figured out that the cool water actually felt good, she had a good time! She is such a character with whatever she does. Paul and I just enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching her! We had originally invited some friends over to celebrate my birthday but decided to cancel since Paul still wasn't feeling well. So we just enjoyed a relaxing evening at home.

Say Miss Seneca, send Aunt Becky a picture of a cat to hang on my refrigerator. Love you!
