We left Pierre on Sunday July 2nd to head to Eureka for the All-School Reunion. We stopped at my Grandparents farm for the day. My Aunts and Uncles were home so we visited with them and had lunch and supper there at the farm before heading to my cousin Hollys house for the rest of the weekend. Seneca got a signed head shot of the Miss Teen South Dakota who happens to be my cousin Hollys daughter, Alexandra. Seneca was so excited so we put it up in her room and everyday she looks at it and tells me that Alex is going to win at the August Miss Teen USA pageant!Monday we met with my classmates and their families at the school and took in the program at the school.
Even though I didn't graduate from Eureka, the EHS Class of 1991 has adopted me! It was nice to see everyone and watch the kids play! During the day they had different activities going on around town for both adults and kids. Seneca got to go on a horse and buggy ride and got a balloon from Mr. Twister shaped like a poodle! We stuck around town until about 10:30 Monday night and then headed back to my cousins for the night. Seneca was running a fever of 102.5 so we tended to her and thank goodness it broke within an hour of giving her tylonal. We were kind of worried there for awhile. I think the heat had got to her throughout the day.Tuesday morning Seneca slept in until 9:30 which she never does. When she got up she was ready to go swimming with Hollys daughter Elizabeth. Even though she barely got in the water, she had a great time! Seneca really loves Holly and her family. She hasn't stopped talking about them since we got home!

Before heading home, we made a few more stops and we left Eureka about 1:30 in the afternoon. We got back to Pierre about 4:00 and then Paul mowed the lawn and I started on laundry and getting unpacked. We were all so tired that we all went to bed before the fireworks started. Seneca did get to see some of the fireworks on Monday night while we were in Eureka so we didn't feel too bad.
