Long Weekend

It was so nice to have a long weekend. It seems as if it went by way too fast though. Saturday Paul worked on a project that had been on his mind since December. We had mold growing in our bedroom/bathroom closet this winter. We figured cold air was coming in from somewhere and suspected that the floor had not been insulated in that closet. Well, low and behold when we "dug" in, no insulation. So we pulled back the carpet, brought up the sub-floor and Paul foamed the sides and layed insulation in. Closed it back up and then I painted since everything was out of the closet. Tried a new color, now we have to do the rest of the bathroom now!

Saturday afternoon during all the construction, Seneca had a birthday party to attend for a few hours. Her friend Austyn turned 3! She had a wonderful time and did a few art projects.

Sunday night about 11:30 at night, I was watching TV because I knew there was weather. They scrolled at the bottom of the screen that they spotted a tornado 8 miles south of Ft. Pierre. Well, that is just across the river, so I woke Paul and said we better close up the windows and head to the basement. As we got to the basement, the tornado whistle went off. Alot of wind and hail! We did manage to get 1/2" of rain out of the storm. Luckily the Pierre area didn't get much damage. Couldn't find anything around our house damage wise.

You forgot to mention that Seneca informed you that "Mommy, you aren't brave like Daddy and me" Too funny!
